In his comeback match from the injury, skipper Rohit Sharma only managed to score 4 runs as Sandeep Sharma took his wicket in the third over. Though another opener Quinton de Kock provided a firing start, Sandeep got him too after conceding 4, 6 and 6. De Kock was bowled in 5th over after scoring 25 runs off 13 balls (2 fours and 2 sixes).
Then Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan handled the situation and they set up the 42 runs partnership for the third wicket. But once that partnership was broken as Yadav (36 off 29 balls; 5 fours) was stumped out in Shahbaz Nadeem’s over (12th over of that innings), Mumbai Indians lost their next wickets at regular intervals.
In the 17th over, Sandeep Sharma bowled Ishan Kishan for 33 runs off 30 balls (only four and 2 sixes).
Apart from Quinton de Kock, Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan, only Kieron Pollard managed to reach the double-digit score in that innings. In the very late moment of that innings, Pollard played a very important role as his 41 off 25 balls (2 fours and 4 sixes) helped Mumbai Indians to set the 150 runs target for their opponents.
Among the SRH bowlers, while Sandeep Sharma (3/34) took three wickets, Jason Holder (2/25) and Shahbaz Nadeem (2/19) bagged two wickets each.
