Former England captain Michael Vaughan is very optimistic with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team after the IPL 2020 auction. After that auction, Vaughan has opened up his point of views about this team and also revealed their best signing in the latest auction.
On last Thursday (19th December), Kolkata hosted the IPL auction where 62 players were sold, including 29 overseas players. RCB had to fill up 12 slots while they had left INR 27.90 crore in their purse. In the latest auction, RCB spent INR 21.50 crore to buy eight players, including filling up the overseas slots by adding six players.
Here is detail purchase list of RCB in the IPL 2020 auction

Pavan Deshpande | All-Rounder | 20,00,000 | 20,00,000 |
After the auction, Michael Vaughan has been very excited and optimistic about the RCB team. RCB has played three IPL finals (2009, 2011 and 2016) but never won the tournament. Vaughan feels that RCB can finally find their right combination in the upcoming IPL season that can bring their maiden IPL trophy.
Michael Vaughan praised RCB’s every purchase, but specially mentioned Aaron Finch
Michael Vaughan is excited how the pace bowling line-up has sorted out. He believes that the joining of Dale Steyn and Kane Richardson will make the pace bowling side stronger, while Chris Morris and Isuru Udana are the good pace-bowling all-rounders. He also praised for choosing the Australian wicketkeeper Joshua Philippe who can bat at the top of the order.
However, Vaughan is most excited to see Aaron Finch in the RCB squad. The former English captain believes that the RCB had a lack of leadership and guidance in recent years. Though he praised Virat Kohli’s batting and leadership quality, Vaughan believes that Aaron Finch can guide Kohli in the tactical purpose as the Australian is one of the best T20 captains.
Michael Vaughan also praised the coaching staff, especially Simon Katich (Head coach) and Mike Hesson (Director of cricket operations).
