Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will follow their long-held tradition of wearing green jersey in the upcoming match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday (October 25). Instead of their normal red and black jersey, they don green jersey to support their ‘Go Green’ initiative.
The initiative was started back in 2011 to spread awareness to follow an eco-friendly life by eliminating the use of harmful substances like plastic. Apart from players, supporting staff will also sport the green jersey to educate everyone to keep the environment green.
“Bold Diaries: RCB Go Green Initiative. RCB players will sport the Green Jerseys against CSK tomorrow to spread awareness about keeping the planet clean and healthy,” tweeted the franchise along with a video featuring the likes of skipper Kohli and AB de Villiers.

In the video clip posted by RCB, AB de Villiers urged people to follow substantial life and contribute to keeping the environment safe for everyone.
“Turn off the lights and taps when not in use. We must ensure waste management and reduce the use of plastic. We should pick up plastic bottles wherever we go. All of these small little things if a person plays along can really go a long way to help our environment,” said de Villiers in the clip.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore is, currently, standing at the number second position in the points table with winning seven matches out of 10. They are having a dream-like IPL season and have come out as the balanced team.
Devdutt Padikkal, Chris Morris, Washington Sundar have been star-performers for them while Yuzvendra Chahal, as usual, has been the game-changer.
