Devdutt Padikkal (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

The 20-year-old Karnataka player Devdutt Padikkal made his first-class debut in late 2018 while he made List A and T20 debut in last year. At the very early period of his domestic career, Padikkal has made a great impression.
In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019/20 and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019/20, the youngster finished as the most run-scorer after scoring 609 runs (average 67.66) and 580 runs (average 64.44) respectively.
In the last Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he not only maintained the strike-rate of 175.75, but he also hit one century and five half-centuries. Padikkal also participated in the U19 Asia Cup 2018.
In the 2019 IPL auction, Padikkal was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the base price of INR 20 lakh. Though he didn’t play a game in the IPL 2019, Padikkal has a good chance to make his IPL debut in the upcoming edition of IPL 2020.
