Mumbai Indians’ hard-hitting batter Tim David hinted that their leading pacer Jofra Archer will miss out on the match against two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. The England speedster has not featured for MI post their season-opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The 27-year-old made a comeback after a long lay-off in the SA20 tournament for MI Cape Town where he was rested in alternative matches. Archer made his return to the England ODI side against South Africa and Bangladesh where he played only 4 matches out of 6 matches.

Speaking to the media, ahead of their clash against Kolkata Knight Riders, Tim David opened upon Jofra Archer’s injury stating that the medical team is having a close look at the England speedster and will take a call on his participation in the forthcoming games.

“At the moment Jof is being managed by the medical team and I am not a part of those conversations. Whenever they have him ready to play he will be ready to go,” Tim David said.

When We Play Our Best Cricket, We Are Going Top – Tim David

“They (KKR) have got some dangerous batsmen and (if) our bowlers get them out (early) that will be a perfect start for us, But no, it is tough to plan, I think. We are more focussed on ourselves and we want to play a good game and we know when we play our best cricket we are going to,” Tim David added.
