Kolkata Knight Riders star bowler Sunil Narine has been reported for suspect action once again which could turn in to a big controversy. Last year in the champions league too he was banned for suspect action. This time the match in question is Sunrisers Hyderabad against Kolkata Knight Riders at vizag on Aprill 22.
Here is IPL’s press release:
A suspected illegal bowling action report has been filed by the match officials on certain deliveries bowled by Mr Sunil Narine of Kolkata Knight Riders during the Pepsi IPL 2015 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders played on the 22nd of April, 2015 in Visakhapatnam.
As per the provisions of the IPL Suspected Illegal Bowling Action Policy, Mr Narine will still be eligible to bowl in forthcoming Pepsi IPL matches and may request a biomechanical analysis of the deliveries in question at the ICC and BCCI accredited testing facility, the Sri Ramachandra Arthroscopy and Sports Science Centre (SRASSC) in Chennai.
At the start of this IPL season, the BCCI forced Sunil narine to undergo tests at the ICC affiliated laboratory in Chennai before paving his way to take part in the cash rich T20 tournament neglecting Kolkata Knight Riders’ opposition on the same. This season, though, However, Narine has had a less of an imapct and is struggling to pick up wickets he used to in previous seasons, but only good thing for him he has managed to keep batsman quiet bowling at an economy of 7.35 which is okay by T20 standards. He has just 5 wickets in as mnay matches averaging a wicket per game.
