IPL 2020: Just Two Old Guys Doing What They Love – Shane Watson Shares Video Of MS Dhoni In Net Session

Called as the ‘Dad Army’, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has defied all the age barrier with their last two seasons performance. Franchises’ vital cog Shane Watson, MS Dhoni, Imran Tahir, Dwayne Bravo are all in their mid to late 30s. But their ages are just numbers for them, the experienced players have the same energy as youngsters and have been successful in doing their jobs for CSK.

As they are entering the Indian Premier League 2020 edition, many have again pointed out fingers whether CSK will give up to mark performance this year because they have the same age-old members.

To silent all the critics, Shane Watson has shared the video in his official Twitter account where he and MS Dhoni can be seen smacking the bowlers. Even some balls went out of the park.

He captioned that video,” At the ripe old age of 39 …. just two old guys doing what we love”

In CSK’s title-winning 2018 season, Watson scored 555 runs and struck the ball at 154.59 while batting mostly in the top order. Last year when CSK was defeated in the grand-finale, he scored 398 runs in 17 matches and a strike rate of 127.56.

For the upcoming season, CSK’s two experienced players Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh have pulled out of the tournament citing personal reasons. The recently retired Raina had opted out of the tournament after landing in the UAE while Harbhajan had not travelled with the team to Dubai.

Their absence will surely cost the team but notably, CSK has not announced any replacement for them. It seems that MS Dhoni had already drawn the plan without them.

Meanwhile, CSK will play the IPL 2020 tournament opener against defending champion Mumbai Indians on 19th September.
