The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is one of the most successful T20 sides and it is nothing a shocking point when MS Dhoni is leading the team. Among their first ten active IPL seasons, while the CSK won three IPL trophies, failed to reach the IPL finals only for twice, but always finished in the top four positions. While they always have the strong batting line-up, their bowling line-up is also very strong nature, who never gives up easily.
The CSK have managed to successfully defend the 150 or lesser IPL totals for eight times. Their lowest successfully defended total in IPL history is 116 runs (116/9) against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Durban on 20th May 2009 (CSK won by 24 runs).
