Kings XI Punjab – 8 times
While the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) haven’t won the IPL tournament yet, they experienced one IPL final in the 2014 edition where they lost against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and finished as the runners-up. As the KXIP have not a good image for their consistent batting, the bowlers play crucial roles for the side.
In IPL history, the KXIP have also managed to successfully defend the 150 or lesser totals for eight times. Their lowest successfully defended IPL total is just 119 runs (119/8) against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at Durban on 29th April 2009 (KXIP won by three runs).
