The left-arm spinner and left-handed batsman Axar Patel is a very talented all-rounder, though he wasn’t much consistent enough in the recent IPL tournaments. In his debutant IPL season (2014), Axar won the Emerging Player of the Year award for taking 17 wickets and also scoring 62 runs (average 10.33) in 17 matches for the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
Though Axar was in the Mumbai Indians (MI) squad in the IPL 2013, he didn’t make IPL debut in that season. Then, he served for the KXIP between 2014 and 2018. Since IPL 2019, the all-rounder is serving for the Delhi Capitals (DC). After playing 82 IPL matches, he has scored 796 runs (average 18.95; strike-rate 126.34) and also taken 71 wickets.
