Delhi Daredevils speedster Mohammed Shami had to stay back in Kolkata as he was summoned by Kolkata Police. His wife Hasin Jahan had levelled several charges against the pacer which included domestic violence, adultery, having extra-marital affairs with many and a lot more.
Shami returned to Kolkata for his franchise Delhi Daredevil’s clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders. While his team has already left for Bengaluru, Shami had to stay back in the city.
An official from the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) revealed that Shami, who took part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Eden Gardens on Monday night did not travel with his team.
Daredevils will meet the Royal Challengers Bangalore on 21st April (Saturday).
“The DD team left around 3 pm but Shami could not board the flight as he faces a summon from the Kolkata Police. There’s no update yet on his joining the DD,” the official was quoted as saying by PTI.
On Wednesday afternoon, Kolkata Police called in Shami. However, it is learnt that the pacer has expressed his inability to be present at that time.
Hence he has asked his lawyers to give prior information to the authorities. Shami’s homecoming was marred by Andre Russell.
The big Caribbean lad took the Bengal bowler to the cleaners where he smashed him for six sixes.
Eventually, KKR registered a quite comprehensive victory in the end by 71 runs.

Shami visits Kolkata first time after his wife levelled several charges against him:
It was the first time Shami was in Kolkata since his wife Hasin Jahan made some shocking revelations. She took to her Facebook page and wrote about infidelity and domestic abuse.
Hasin even posted screenshots of the pacer’s alleged chats with multiple women. It all started from early last month (March). Shami has denied all the allegations for quite a long time.
Meanwhile, Hasin also filed a written complaint against Shami and his four family members at the Jadavpur Police station.
Hasin has also demanded a maintenance of INR 15 lakh for her and her daughter.
