Manpreet Gony

The towering pacer not only created an impact in the team with his bowling but also scored crucial runs at the lower order. His best IPL performance was for Chennai Super Kings which had led him to play in India’s national team.
In IPL 2008, he picked 17 wickets in 16 matches for the yellow army.
For his prolific performance, he was retained by CSK for the next two seasons. But the player lost his shine and proved expensive in both the season. He leaked many runs and lost his wicket-taking capability.
In the sixth season, he got back his form when he played for KXIP and was again in the news but not for his bowling. He had scored crucial runs for the team at lower order against KKR. He was also adjudged with the man of the match award.
But he got very fewer matches in the tournament. Thus, Gony was dropped and went unsold for the 2018 season. Currently, the player was the part of India legend in the Road Safety World Series which has been postponed because of coronavirus outbreak.
