A lot of things have been happening in the England cricket ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019. The injuries, controversies and the replacements and what not? They are facing quite a few issues in the last week. Meanwhile, James Vince, Ben Duckett and Dawid Malan are the gainers of that, who received ODI call-ups.
The changes took place because of the indefinite break by Alex Hales from the International cricket. He has been withdrawn from the squads that will play Pakistan and Ireland ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019. Alex Hales will not feature even in the ICC World Cup 2019.
Alex Hales gets dropped:
Jason Roy will not be part of the squad for the one-off fixture against Ireland, which will be followed by a T20I against Pakistan. Roy is suffering from back spasm and he would be fine when the ODI series gets underway. Meanwhile, this could be a perfect choice for one among Malan, Vince and Duckett.
Ben Duckett has previously played for England in 2016 against Bangladesh. However, he failed to survive in International cricket, as he was replaced immediately by another player during that time. However, of late, he showing brilliant signs with his willow.
On another hand, Dawid Malan once again received a call-up. This is his third time to get the call-up but not even once he got the cap to play in the starting XI. Meanwhile, James Vince is in a top-form in the domestic arena. It is expected that Vince would get the nod in place of Alex Hales for the grand event.
