Jemimah Rodrigues Signs For Yorkshire Diamonds For 2019 KSL
Indian young women’s cricketer, Jemimah Rodrigues will participate in the forthcoming 2019 KIA Super League (KSL). She has signed for Yorkshire Diamonds for the upcoming season.
KSL or Women’s Cricket Super League is a semi-professional women’s T20 cricket competition in England and Wales. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) organises this tournament every year since 2016. The 2019 KSL will be the fourth edition of this tournament that will run between 6th August and 1st September 2019.
Like the last edition, six teams will face each other in the double round-robin stage. These six participating teams are Lancashire Thunder, Loughborough Lightning, Southern Vipers, Surrey Stars, Western Storm and Yorkshire Diamonds.
The top-positioned team in the final points table will directly qualify for the final of the tournament. Meanwhile, the next two teams of the final points table will meet in the semi-final, where the winner will qualify for the final. Like every year, the semi-final and final both matches will be played on the last day of the tournament (1st September 2019).
Smriti Mandhana won the Player of the Tournament award in 2018 KSL

In that previous season, the talented Indian women’s opening batter Smriti Mandhana won the Player of the Tournament award. In 2018 KSL, Western Storm’s cricketer Mandhana finished as the leading run-scorer. After playing nine innings in that tournament, Mandhana scored 421 runs (average 60.14 and strike-rate 174.68). The left-handed batter hit one century and two half-centuries in that tournament.

Jemimah won the Player of the Tournament award in the 2019 Women’s T20 Challenge where she played for the champion side IPL Supernovas. She finished as the leading run-scorer in that tournament as she scored 123 runs in three innings with an average of 61.50.
