There is no doubt about the former South African star cricketer Jonty Rhodes’ love for India. Recently, he shared a video and pointed out the reason why he loves this country so much.
The 50-year-old Jonty Rhodes shared a video on last Wednesday (10th July) which has gone viral in the social media. This video has been taken in a quarantine centre, where some people are playing cricket in a small space of the quarantine room. Many beds can also be seen in this video.
Rhodes is always amazed to see how the Indians are passionate about cricket. When he watched this viral video, he couldn’t stop himself to share it and express his love for India again.
Sharing that video, Rhodes wrote, “People ask me often; “what is it about India that I love so much” Need I say any more?”

Jonty Rhodes was one of the greatest cricketers in South African cricket history. While he served for his national team from 1992 to 2003, Rhodes played 52 Tests and 245 ODIs. Apart from a good right-handed batsman, who scored 2532 Test runs (average 35.66) and 5935 ODI runs (average 35.11), Rhodes was also very famous for his incredible fielding.
Rhodes loves India very much and he has shown it many times by praising this country’s rich mix of culture, heritage, and tradition. He regularly visits this country.
While Rhodes served as the fielding coach of the IPL team Mumbai Indians (MI), South African Tourism appointed him as their brand ambassador of India in 2013. Rhodes even named her daughter India Jeanne Rhodes, who was born at Mumbai.
