Former Australian cricketer and present Australian Head Coach Justin Langer recently talked about Indians craziness for cricket.
India is known as a cricket-crazy country. Many Indians have made the game as an important part of their life as they follow it regularly. Their craziness always reaches to the high and energetic level when they meet with the cricketers.
Recently, in a documentary series ‘The Test’, released on Amazon Prime, Justin Langer talked about his experience with the Indian cricket fans. The former Test specialist opening batsman Langer initially loved India, but he later felt “claustrophobic” due to facing too much closeness with the fans.
Langer said according to India Today, “Yeah I love India for 1st few weeks and then it gets a bit claustrophobic, to be honest because Indians love cricket so much that only sanctuary you have is your change room or in your bedroom .”

Langer also shared the story of how the Indian cricket fans even knocked at his door for selfies after faking as room service. He felt relentless in those moments.
The present Aussie Head Coach added, “Even in hotel room it is not uncommon for someone to knock at your door and fake room service and ask for selfies. It’s like literally relentless.”
Former Australian opening batsman Justin Langer played 105 Tests and eight ODIs between 1993 and 2007. The left-handed batsman was one of the top cricketers during Australia’s dominating time in the cricket world.
During his international career, Langer toured in India for twice in 2001 and 2004. Langer played a total of seven Tests in India where he scored 389 runs with an average of 29.92
Langer took up the Head Coach role of the Australia national cricket team in May 2018 after Darren Lehmann stepped down from the post in the wake of sandpaper gate controversy. Since then, Australia have travelled in India for twice but only for the limited-overs cricket series.
