Recently, the 38-year-old veteran Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal was asked to choose the best between Indian captain Virat Kohli and Pakistan limited-overs captain Babar Azam.
The 31-year-old Virat Kohli and the 25-year-old Babar Azam both have shown their consistency in batting every international format. While Kohli has maintained his batting average over 50 in every format of the international cricket after performing consistently for a long time, Babar has also maintained the 45+ batting average in every format, including 50+ batting averages in both the ODI and T20I cricket.
At present, Kohli is the no.1-ranked ODI batsman, no.2-ranked Test batsman and no.10-ranked T20I batsman. In the same time, Babar is the no.1-ranked T20I batsman, no.3-ranked ODI batsman and no.5-ranked Test batsman. Due to maintaining their consistency in batting, Kohli and Babar have now been compared most of the times.
Recently, a fan asked Kamran Akmal on Twitter to choose between Babar and Kohli. Akmal replied that both were best.

Kamran Akmal is still hopeful to return to the Pakistan Test team
Kamran Akmal was once a regular wicketkeeper-batsman of the Pakistan national cricket team. After making his international debut in 2002, Akmal has played 53 Tests, 157 ODIs and 58 T20Is. In his international career, the right-handed batsman has scored 2648 Test runs (average 30.79), 3236 ODI runs (average 26.09) and 987 T20I runs (average 21.00).
Due to his inconsistent performances, Akmal faced many ups and downs in his international career. While he hasn’t earned an opportunity in Test cricket after August 2010, he played last ODI and T20I in April 2017.
Though Akmal has missed out the international cricket for more than last three years, he is still hopeful to make a comeback in his national side.
Another cricket fan asked Akmal on Twitter, “Are you hopeful to represent Pakistan in future? If yes, then in what position? As a wicketkeeper-batsman or a specialist middle-order batsman. @KamiAkmal23”
In reply, Akmal wrote that he is still hopeful to represent Pakistan in future as a specialist middle-order batsman in Test cricket.
