Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will start from 8 November this year. It will be the 11th edition of the T20 competition in India. The final will be played on 1st December 2019. Kerala Cricket Association has announced its 15 members squad for this domestic tournament.
Robin Uthappa and Sanju Samson will lead the Kerala team
Robin Uthappa is selected as the captain of the team. He also led the team in ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. The wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson is selected as the vice-captain of the team. He had a satisfactory performance in the Vijay Hazare and selectors would have an eye upon him.

Jalaj Saxena who performed well in the Duleep trophy is also in the squad. Sachin Baby has also good records for his state.
The bowling department of the Kerala team is strong. Sandeep Warrier and Basil Thampi are the fast bowlers which have proved themselves in Indian Premier League (IPL). Spinner Asif KM has also played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
The team has good combinations of bowlers and batsmen. So, it will be accepted that the team will perform well.
Schedule and Venue
The team will play all the matches in Thiruvananthapuram. The first match is scheduled on 8th November against Tamil Nadu. Kerala has not won the title since the inauguration of the tournament. Last year, Karnataka won the trophy.

In Vijay Hazare trophy, Kerela played 8 matches and won 4 matches and lost 4 matches. The performance of the team was below average. In 18 teams, Kerala was ranked on 9th position. So, the team didn’t qualify for the knockout stages. Now, the team will look forward to winning the shortest format in domestic cricket.
