ToggleOn Wednesday (4th March), during the first game of the two-match T20I series against the hosts Sri Lanka, West Indies limited-overs captain, Kieron Pollard created history. He became the first cricketer to play 500 T20s.
They were playing the opening T20I of this series at Pallekele. Leading the Caribbean side, Kieron Pollard played his 500th game in T20 career. The 32-year-old all-rounder became the first cricketer to reach this milestone.
Another Caribbean cricketer Dwayne Bravo is in the next place in the list of most T20s in career. The 36-year-old all-rounder also played in this Pallekele T20I and it was his 454th T20 match. Chris Gayle, the another West Indies cricketer, is the only other man who has played 400+ T20 matches as the aggressive opening batsman has played 404 matches in T20 career.

Kieron Pollard has played for 17 different T20 sides
Since his debut in T20 cricket in 2006, Kieron Pollard has become a busy player in this shortest format. Apart from playing international cricket for West Indies, Pollard also features in many global T20 leagues. The tall all-rounder is a very familiar face in many T20 tournaments in the world.

In his T20 career, Pollard has already served for 17 different teams, including the international side West Indies. However, he has played 100+ matches only for the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Mumbai Indians (MI). The all-rounder has played 170 T20s for MI and he will again play for this team in the upcoming IPL 2020.
