Former Indian wicketkeeper Kiran More has been appointed as the interim coach of the USA men’s national cricket team. Also, the former Indian cricketers Sunil Joshi and Pravin Amre have taken the advisor roles of this team.
In last month, Kiran More became director of cricket of the USA national cricket team. Now, he has taken the interim coach role after the resignation of the previous head coach Pubudu Dassanayake.
Under Pubudu Dassanayake’s tenure, the USA team have regained the ODI status in last April after finishing in the third position in the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two. Their ODI status will remain until 2022.
Dassanayake’s initial contract with this side ended in last March. However, he earned the contract extension until the end of this year. But due to differences with the USA Cricket, Dassanayake decided to end this contract prematurely. Dassanayake had taken this role in November 2016.
Now, Kiran More has replaced Dassanayake, and the former Indian wicketkeeper will play the interim coach role for this team. The 56-year-old More played 49 Tests and 94 ODIs for India from 1984 to 1993.
After his cricket career, More served as the Chairman of the selection committee of the Indian national cricket team. He also played the role of wicketkeeping-consultant for the IPL team Mumbai Indians (MI).
Sunil Joshi and Pravin Amre also join the USA cricket team

Recently, after the 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup campaign, Joshi left the spin bowling coach role of Bangladesh national cricket team. In this Cricket World Cup tournament, Bangladesh finished in the eighth position out of the ten teams.

Also, Pravin Amre has taken the batting advisory role of the USA national cricket team. Amre will jointly play this role along with the Caribbean cricketer Kieran Powell. Meanwhile, David Saker and James Pamment have joined this team as the fast bowling advisor and fielding advisor respectively.
