The 28-year-old versatile Indian cricketer KL Rahul has decided to put his many cricket kits, including the bat that he used during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, for auction to raise funds that can help the vulnerable children.
On last Saturday (18th April), KL Rahul celebrated his 28th birthday. During that special day, he announced the plan for auction. His brand Gully has also joined in this special activity. Rahul has decided to donate his many cricket kits to the collaboration partner Bharat Army. Bharat Army will put these for auction to raise the funds for the Aware Foundation that look towards helping children.

According to IANS, Rahul said, “Since it’s a special day for me, me and Gully have decided to something very sweet and something very special.
“I have decided to donate my cricket pads, my gloves, helmets and some of my jerseys to our collaboration partner Bharat Army. They are going to auction these things out and the funds will go towards the Aware Foundation.
“It’s a foundation that look towards helping children. It is very special and I couldn’t pick a better day to do this.”
Rahul has requested to the interested people to come forward in this journey by taking a crucial part in the auction.
Rahul said according to PTI, “Go on check out the auction and show some love for me and the children and let’s stay strong together during this difficult time and all of us will come out of this stronger.”
KL Rahul scored 361 runs in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019
One of these cricket kits is the bat which he used during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. While India finished that tournament as the semi-finalists, the right-handed batsman scored 361 runs in nine innings with an average of 45.12, including one century and two half-centuries.

KL Rahul has now emerged as one of the important cricketers in the Indian national cricket team. Apart from being an incredible batsman, who can bat at any position, he is also a very good fielder. Now, he has taken a new role, which is the wicket-keeping role in the limited-overs cricket, and once again he has impressed in this duty too. At present, he is the no.2-ranked T20I batsman.
