MS Dhoni (India)

Indian cricketer MS Dhoni made his ODI debut during the Chattogram ODI against the hosts Bangladesh on 23rd December 2004. The right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman had a horrible experience on his ODI debut as he was run out on the very first delivery he faced. In his first four ODI innings, Dhoni failed to cross even the 15-run mark.
During his fifth ODI, against Pakistan at Visakhapatnam on 5th April 2005, when the team management promoted him to the no.3 position in the batting order, Dhoni first time impressed the cricket world and that too in a great way with the 148 runs knock off 123 balls. Since then, Dhoni always maintained his discipline in the game.
With the time progress, Dhoni has improved in every aspect of the game. He was also a very successful Indian captain under whom the country achieved many successes, including winning the ICC World T20 2007, ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013.
After the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Dhoni hasn’t played a recognised cricket match yet. He has played 350 ODIs where he has scored 10773 runs with an average of 50.57. During his ODI career, Dhoni hit 10 centuries and 73 half-centuries.
