The former left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan was the legendary pace bowler in Indian cricket history. Many top-class batsmen always felt trouble to face him while he was the master, especially in reverse-swing bowling.

Zaheer played a crucial role for India to win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 where he finished as the joint-most wicket-taking bowler (21 wickets). He served for India from 2000 to 2014 and played 92 Tests, 200 ODIs and 17 T20Is where he got 311 Test wickets, 282 ODI wickets and 17 T20I wickets.

Though he played the leadership role in the Indian pace-bowling unit effectively during his late international career, Zaheer never led the Indian team.
