There is literally no hiding from the fact that Manoj Tiwary has been one of the unluckiest Indian cricketers in this generation. Despite having all the tools and ingredients of a high-class player, Manoj Tiwary failed to make a good impression when it mattered the most. But the truth is that he was not given a plethora of opportunities to showcase his mettle.
Tiwary who made his debut in the year 2008 never really channelised his aggression in the right way and hence, he was in and out of Indian set-up. The right-handed batsman, who represented the Indian national cricket team in 12 ODIs and 3 T20 Internationals, was last seen playing for India in a One-Day International match way back in the year 2015 in Zimbabwe. Since then, he has been plying his trade in domestic cricket.

Manoj Tiwary reveals his post-cricket career plans
In a recent chat on the show ‘Cow Corner Chronicles’, the classy right-handed batsman revealed that he might represent India at the Olympics post his retirement. He said he might end up taking a 10-metre rifle shooting.
“You might end up seeing me taking up 10-metre rifle shooting and having a go in the Olympics as well. Something which I want to do. But now you know the other responsibilities of an individual are always there. It’s not easy, but let us see how I can take time out of a busy schedule and give some time to 10-metre rifle shooting as well,” Manoj Tiwary added in a statement.

Senior batsman Tiwary hogged the limelight after hitting a sensational maiden triple ton for Bengal against Hyderabad in their Ranji Trophy Group A clash. Manoj Tiwary’s belligerent knock came at a time when he remained unsold in the IPL 2020 auction. The batsman also said he hasn’t ruled out his chances of making a comeback to the Indian national cricket team.

In addition, he got involved in a controversy when he asked national selector Devang Gandhi to leave the Bengal team dressing room for his unauthorised entry. He was stripped of the captaincy before the start of the season with the state selectors going with Abhimanyu Easwaran.
