Bangladesh cricket has got a huge blow after Shakib Al Hasan has faced suspension for not disclosing the full details of corrupt approaches to the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU). However, the ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza has come out with a strong motivating message for the top-class all-rounder. Mortaza is dreaming Bangladesh will play the next Cricket World Cup final under the leadership of Shakib.

On last Tuesday (29th October), the International Cricket Council (ICC) has handed Shakib Al Hasan the two-year ban from all cricket, with one year of that suspended. Shakib got multiple approaches from the bookies but never disclosed those to the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU).

After the investigation, the ICC put charges against Shakib and handed the latest suspension. Shakib has admitted all three charges against him. He has also accepted the sanction in lieu of an Anti-Corruption Tribunal hearing. Shakib can return to the international cricket on 29th October 2020.

The Bangladeshi people have given strong support to Shakib Al Hasan. He is a star all-rounder who is currently the no.1-ranked ODI all-rounder, no.2-ranked T20I all-rounder and no.3-ranked Test all-rounder.

Since his international cricket debut in 2006, Shakib has grown up hugely in international cricket. In the recent ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Shakib hugely impressed with his performances. The left-handed batsman was the third most run-scorer in that tournament as he scored 606 runs in eight innings (average 86.57). He hit two centuries and five half-centuries in that tournament. Also, the left-arm spinner took 11 wickets in that CWC 2019.
