With 2019 World Cup less than three months away, former England skipper Michael Vaughan has named his squad for England. The Three Lions have adopted the culture of winning games by producing a scintillating show.
Earlier, Vaughan has lauded the depth in English camp, but at the same time expressed concern over the batting collapses in the recent past.
While picking the familiar faces for the quadrennial event, Vaughan is hopeful of his national team delivering according to the expectations. The marquee tourney of ICC will run between May 30 and July 14 in England and Wales.
The veteran cricketer Vaughan sees the forthcoming World Cup as a mega opportunity for the hosts.

Pertinently, England is yet to lift the major trophy of ICC. However, they have made it to the grand finale on three occasions, but are yet to lay hands on the prestigious trophy.
In 1979, 1987 and 1992 England lost the final against the Windies, Australia and Pakistan respectively.
With much-improved performance in the white-ball cricket, England camp is hopeful to bask the glory, this time around.
The Manchester-born 44-year-old Vaughan, who has played 86 ODI for England, believes there’s a pool of talent available to rely on. While naming as many as 19 players for the squad, he has made a statement in terms of replacements too.
While accumulating 1982 runs with the help of 16 half-centuries, Vaughan has plenty of experience while enjoying the perks in the leadership group.
With the obvious choice in Eoin Morgan as a skipper, Vaughan believes all-rounder Jofra Archer is enough to be impactful. Vaughan named Archer alongside Liam Plunkett and Mark Wood.
Vaughan’s first-choice openers came in the form of Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy. He also sees Alex Hales as the back-up opener. However, his surprise pick came in the form of Joe Denly.
In the all-rounder department, he backed Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes. Besides, David Willey is the third choice player in the coveted squad.
He has also named 29-year-old all-rounder Liam Dawson in the squad.
Notably, ICC has set April 23 as the final date for teams to submit their squads. Besides, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will face severe headache during the selection procedure for the multi-nation home tournament.
