MS Dhoni’s Bihar Teammate Satya Prakash Reveals They Called Him ‘Terrorist’ for his Whirlwind Knocks
MS Dhoni, who represented Bihar team during the early 2000s, who has subsequently shared camaraderie with his teammates during his domestic stint. The former captain had done an outstanding job before breaking into the national team in 2004 when he made his debut against Bangladesh. However, Dhoni’s teammate of State cricket team Satya Prakash revealed they used to call the World Cup-winning skipper ‘Terrorist’ for his whirlwind knocks.
Satya Prakash, who are partaking in the Kharagpur Premier League (KPL), stating Dhoni has changed a lot which saw him becoming a saint. He added Dhoni is the quick learner. While revealing why they were referring to him as the terrorist, Prakash maintained Dhoni’s blitzkrieg pushed them to call him ‘atankwadi’.

“We used to call him atankwadi (terrorist). He used to hit 40-50 runs in 20 balls. But he became a saint when he played for the country and changed his approach. He is a good learner,” Satya Prakash revealed in interaction with Sportstar.
Meanwhile, the celebrated wicketkeeper-batsman Dhoni, who is the honorary Lieutenant Colonel was conferred by the Indian Territorial Army on November 1st in 2011. Satya Prakash is the same person who has helped his former teammate to get a job at the railway station.
Evidently, that has been revealed in his biopic – ‘The Untold Story’.
Moreover, Satya Prakash has hailed Dhoni for his leadership skills. He also maintained Dhoni has conversed with them in Hindi.
“Dhoni rarely captained in the past. But see how he became the captain of some all-time great players. He always spoke in Hindi, but now he speaks fluently in English. We friends never gauged his potential,” Satya Prakash added.
Dhoni to feature in the IPL 2020:
Recently, following the loss against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) finale, Dhoni has left many guessing whether he would return as a captain next year for the three-time IPL champions – Chennai Super Kings (CSK). But the CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has made it clear that Dhoni will feature in the IPL 2020.
Meanwhile, Dhoni is gearing up for his last ODI World Cup which will get underway on May 30 in London. Known for his finishing prowess, the 37-year-old Ranchi star’s experience will undoubtedly help the Men in Blue’s cause at the ODI showpiece.
India will kick-off their World Cup campaign against the Proteas on June 5 in Southampton.
