Pragyan Ojha, the former Indian cricketer, feels that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is lacking in effort from all team members. He has stated that only the contribution from MS Dhoni’s end can not secure victory for the franchise in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
His remark came after CSK has registered consecutive defeat in their last three matches after winning the season opener against Mumbai Indians. Surprisingly, it has been for the first time since 2014 that CSK has maintained this losing streak.

The major reason for Chennai Super Kings’ losses is the absence of Suresh Raina, who has pulled out from this tournament. Raina has been the leading scorer for the franchise.
If the opener fails to score runs, the team can rely on him to bring things right back on the track. As he is not playing this season, CSK has suffered in power-hitting in the middle overs.
However, Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, Faf du Plessis and MS Dhoni have given their best performance.
Pragyan Ojha has pointed out that contributions from each and every player in the team and not just from a few individuals can change the game for CSK in IPL 2020.
“In a team game, a single guy cannot do everything. He cannot lead you, score runs consistently so everybody has to contribute,” he said.
MS Dhoni at every stage has given his best: Pragyan Ojha

Ojha mentioned that Ravindra Jadeja’s fifty against SRH was possible only because MS Dhoni anchored the inning from the other end. He also called out Kedar Jadhav for giving an unimpressive performance.
“Had they not lost early wickets in the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad or Kedar Jadhav would have batted the way we wanted him to bat, I don’t think MS Dhoni would have played those Rashid Khan overs carefully because he cannot afford to lose his wicket,” he said
“Had he lost his wicket you wouldn’t have seen Ravindra Jadeja get his 50, he got it because MS Dhoni was there at the other end. Dhoni at every stage has given his best,” Pragyan Ojha said on Sports Today.
According to Pragyan Ojha, CSK management needs to take some bold decisions to change the momentum. The Yellow Army will play their next match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
