While MS Dhoni just became the limited-overs captain of the Indian national cricket team, the legendary Indian leg-spinner Anil Kumble took the responsibility of the Test captaincy. Under the Test captain Kumble, Dhoni played 10 Tests from November 2007 to October 2008. During this period, Dhoni also experienced his early days of Test captaincy in the absence of skipper Kumble.
