Dhoni speaks for the first time.

MS Dhoni said in a press conference held in Mumbai as quoted by ABP (Wah Cricket), “We should try to focus and complete our work. I wanted to know that why the ball didn’t reverse swing. Consequently, I asked for the ball from the umpire to show it our bowling coach, Bharat Arun”.

In fact, it is well known that since two new balls are used since 2011, the white ball hardly gets old and thus doesn’t reverse.

Therefore, after Ravi Shastri, MS Dhoni has himself quashed rumors of his retirement.

Meanwhile, there were questions marks raised over the place of MS Dhoni in the Indian side. The former Indian skipper had failed to rotate the strike and struggle to hit the ground running with his batting performance. However, Dhoni also lacked support from the other end.

In fact, Dhoni was able to return back to form in the Indian Premier League. However, he could not get going against the England spinners especially in the beginning of his innings.

Meanwhile, there were some unnecessary rumors spread on Dhoni’s retirement. However, it should be noted that Dhoni is not someone who will hang around if he is not contributing to the team’s success. The wicketkeeper-batsman is still fit as a fiddle and would like to bounce back strongly. There is no doubt that Dhoni will like to play till the next year World Cup.

Dhoni would be next seen in action in the upcoming Asia Cup.
