Wicket-keeping is a very specialised skill and that’s why we rarely see that wicket-keeper is bowling in an international cricket match. During his international career, MS Dhoni delivered 132 balls – the joint second-most number of deliveries by a designated wicketkeeper in international cricket history. As a right-arm medium bowler, Dhoni also celebrated once after taking his only international wicket of West Indies cricketer Travis Dowlin during the ICC Champions Trophy 2009.

Dhoni is holding the record of bowling in most international matches as a designated wicketkeeper as he bowled in nine international matches. The second most record in this list is bowling for four times by former English wicket-keeper Bill Storer.
