Most expensive cricket bat

While India won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, captain MS Dhoni won the Player of the Match award in the final of that tournament (against Sri Lanka at Mumbai) for playing the match-winning knock of 91 not out off 128 balls (8 fours and 2 sixes). Dhoni also played the winning shot of that final match of that tournament which was a sixer against the Sri Lankan pacer Nuwan Kulasekara.
On 18th July 2011, R K Global Shares & Securities Ltd (India) bought Dhoni’s 2011 World Cup-winning bat for £100,000 ($161,295) during the auction at the M.S Dhoni’s ‘East Meets West’ Charity Dinner in London. According to the Guinness World Record, it is still the “Most Expensive Cricket Bat”.
