On Wednesday (5th February), the hosts New Zealand and the visitors India will play the first game of the three-match ODI series at Seddon Park (Hamilton).

It will be the first ODI for New Zealand since the final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Meanwhile, India will play their first ODI outside the home soil in this calendar year. Also, it will be their first ODI meeting after the semi-final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

ii) Virat Kohli has scored 5,072 ODI runs as a captain. By scoring 11 more runs, he will be the third most run-scorer as an Indian ODI captain as he will surpass former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly (5,082 runs). Only MS Dhoni (6,641 runs) and Mohammad Azharuddin (5,239 runs) will remain ahead of him in this list.
