After showcasing heroic stunt in the super over in Hamilton, Indian opener Rohit Sharma is about to achieve a new landmark in Wellington when Team India will play fourth T20I match against New Zealand. Sharma will become the eighth Indian batsman to scale 14,000 runs in International cricket.

In the third T20I match, The ‘Hitman’ gathered 10,000 runs as an opener in International cricket.

Now, he is about record another milestone in his career.

Rohit Sharma to join Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni in the list:

If Rohit scores 31 runs in the fourth match, he will become the eighth Indian batsman to touch 14,000-run mark in the international cricket.

While the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with 34,357 runs.

Talking about the current captain Virat Kohli, he is on No.3 with 21,777 international runs. And MS Dhoni, who is currently on sabbatical leave, has scored 17, 266 runs in International cricket.

Rohit didn’t have a good outing in the first two matches. But he had prolific performance in the third T20I.

In Hamilton, he scored 62 runs and was the highest scorer for Team India. The Men in Blue registered the victory in the third T20I match but in a dramatic way. As the game went on to super over.

In one over eliminator, the host set the target of 18 runs. In reply, Rohit Sharma struck two maximums in the last two balls to register the victory.

Now, India has the lead of 3-0 in the five-match T20I series. The two teams will now play the fourth T20I match in Wellington on Friday (31st January).
