Nobody has the Right to Ask MS Dhoni to Retire – Shahid Afridi

Three ICC Trophies, leading the Test side to Number one and many more fine victories for team India, but unfortunately, nothing is being counted to give enough respect to the man, who carried the hopes of a billion people over the 15 long years. And yes, you guessed it right, it is MS Dhoni. Meanwhile, the former cricketers from a rival nation, Shahid Afridi and Ramiz Raja make their voice out on the ex Indian skipper.

Of late, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has lost a bit of his magic in whacking the balls, which he did during his younger days. Certainly, it is making a huge impact on the selectors to retain him for the series after the series. However, they finally made the call to drop him from the T20I squad, which certainly didn’t do well with the fans as well.

Ramiz Raja feels the former Indian skipper would be surprised that all his long service isn’t helping him anymore to reflect the same in contemporary cricket.

Meanwhile, the former Pakistan skipper, Shahid Afridi added there would be no right for anyone to take a call on MS Dhoni’s retirement. He feels there can be no person like Dhoni, who had done enormous service for the Indian cricket over the years.

“Mahendra Singh Dhoni would be flabbergasted at what he did for last 15 years isn’t working any more,” said the former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja while speaking in an interview with Times Now.

”What Dhoni has done for team India nobody else can and nobody has the right to tell him when to retire. 2019 Dhoni needs to be there for India to have good chances” Afridi said.

Well, as Shahid Afridi said, the retirement decision should be left to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who served team India in numerous ways. It is expected MS Dhoni would take a call after the conclusion of the 2019 World Cup 2019.
