Brendon McCullum – The first game of IPL, audience though have seen T20 games but do not have any idea what this new league have for them and Brendon McCullum smacked 158 runs in the first game of the league itself to tell the people and his peers how T20 game should be at this level.
From then, McCullum became the backbone of the team and year by year continued to star with the bat. Though he was released by the team before the 2011 auction but was back in the yellow jersey when the franchise purchased him for 325 Lakhs in the year 2014.
