A Pakistan batsman scored 277 runs in a T20 match

When we hear the highest T20 individual score of 175* runs by Chris Gayle, we get amazed. But have you know the highest individual score in T20 format is 277 runs? Yes, 277 runs by a batsman in T20 format and it happened twice.
According to a Pakistani news channel PTV; recently a Pakistani club cricketer, Ahmad Mir hit 277 runs in a T20 match. Ahmad is a Gujranwala’s inhabitant who plays cricket for the local club at present.
According to that channel, Ahmad Mir hit 277 runs in just 76 balls in a Pakistan’s club level T20 format match. He hit 26 sixes and 24 fours in that unimaginable innings.
Ahmad said that he was not only happy but also feeling proud of his incredible record. He said that there was a lot of crowd who witnessed his innings on the ground and also supported him which gave him a lot of self-belief and gave a boost to his confidence.

But it was not the first time that a batsman made 277 runs in T20 format. In 2007, a Sri Lankan first-class cricketer Dhanuka Pathirana had also scored 277 runs off 72 balls in a T20 match. It was the match between Dhanuka’s team Austerlands and Droylsden in Lancashire’s Saddleworth League. Dhanuka made 277 runs with 29 sixes and 18 fours in his superb innings.
Earlier this year, whole cricket world was amazed at Pranav Dhanawade’s 1009 runs knock. Pranav Dhanawade is an Indian school cricketer who made that incredible knock in just 327 balls for KC Gandhi English School against Arya Gurukul in a school cricket tournament (Bhandari Cup).
