The Pakistan Cricket Board has sought help of the Sri lankan board to bring back International cricket to Pakistan. The newly-appointed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaheryar Khan has asked the Sri lankan cricket board to send it’s ‘A’ team, Under 19 team and Women’s cricket team to tour Pakistan . He promised that they will be given very security will be given to the touring players.

Shaheryar khan met Khan met Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) president Jayantha Dharmadasa and asked his help over this matter. He also told him about the improved security prevailing in Pakistan after the government has started several operations against the military organisations.

Pakistan has not seen any International Cricket since March 2009, when the touring Sri Lankan team faced a terrorist attack at lahore and then came back to Sri Lanka mid way of the series. Since then , Pakstan has opted to have UAE as their home country to host International matches .

PCB has been trying hard to bring back International cricket for some time  and have asked several boards to help them in this regard. But due to some reason or the other , they have yet not managed to host a game so far.

Earlier in May this year, Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that he was willing to send Sri Lankan cricket team to Pakistan despite the security concerns over there.
