It is one of the rare matches when five penalty runs were awarded twice in a single inning. Pakistan women had to pay a huge price as they didn’t learn from their mistakes. In the first instance, India was awarded five penalty runs when umpires, Sue Redfern and Gregory Brathwaite found Nida Dar and Bismah Maroof for running in the middle of the pitch.
The umpires once again caught Sidra Nawaz and Nahida Khan to be running on the pitch. Pakistan scored 133 runs and India got the advantage as they started their innings from 10-0 and convincingly chased down the target with seven wickets in hand.
