ToggleWriddhiman Saha replacing Rishabh Pant
In the last Test, the young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant made his international cricket return as well as Test return. However, the left-handed batsman failed to shine with the bat as he scored 19 and 25 runs.
While the upcoming Christchurch Test will be the must-win game for India in this series, the visiting team management may go with the experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha. While he is in the incredible form as a wicketkeeper, the right-handed batsman is also not in good form with the bat.
Moreover, if Saha replaces Pant, the Indian batting line-up will have no left-handed batsman (if Ravindra Jadeja also not returns to the playing XI). While Pant’s batting position can be shuffled according to the situation, his removal can be lesser useful for the Indian team in this tough condition.
