Young batting star Prithvi Shaw is all set to make a return in competitive cricket for Mumbai following an ankle injury. He will return in the impending Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.
The premium shortest version of the domestic competition will commence from February 21.
Earlier, in November Shaw picked an injury while featuring against Cricket Australia XI (CXI) in Sydney. Thus, it spoiled his chances to feature in the four-match Test series against Australia in Down Under.

In the same game, Shaw smashed 66 in the first innings before unfortunate injury while adjusting himself at the boundary ropes for a catch. It eventually cut short his Australia tour.
Mumbai squad to be announced for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy:
The selection committee presided by former Team India pacer Ajit Agarkar, is expected to announce the squad in a couple of days.
The 19-year-old Shaw has been undergoing rehabilitation which eventually took him over two months to set sights on returning to the field.
Interestingly, Shaw, who is eager to make a return with the bat, further took to his Twitter handle in January, to leave injury behind.

Shaw shone in his international debut:
Apart from this Shaw, who has knitted his dream to make it to the World Cup, has to boast about in his cricketing CV.

In 2018, in New Zealand, Shaw led India Under-19 in the World Cup by thrashing Australia. He made his Test debut in October at Rajkot while taking on the Windies. Shaw had a sensational start while donning the white. He smashed a fine hundred on his debut before smashing 70 and unbeaten 33 in the second and final Hyderabad Test to help India clinch the series 2-0.
With his brilliant show, Shaw has impressed one and all which eventually saw legendary Sachin Tendulkar lavishing praise on the Mumbaikar.
So far, Shaw has featured in two Tests to amass 237 runs at the staggering average of 118.50. He has smashed a hundred and a fifty under his belt.
