Pro Kabaddi League: Virat Kohli to Sing National Anthem for Mumbai Leg
Team India skipper Virat Kohli will mark the beginning of the Pro Kabaddi League’s Mumbai leg by singing the National Anthem at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Maharashtra. The stadium has the capacity of hosting over 5,000 spectators to enjoy the thrilling Maharashtra Derby with the beginning of the second week of the season.
The 30-year-old cricketer will witness the game between U Mumba and Puneri Paltan on Saturday (July 27), which will also begin Mumbai’s leg for the season seven of the Pro Kabaddi League. Also, the particular leg will culminate with the completion of 11 matches.
The organisers revealed that Kohli will be present at the National Sports Club of India’s Dome in Worli. Soon after the Maharashtra Derby, Bengal Warriors will clash with Jaipur Pink Panthers.
On August, Mumbai leg will host the final game between U Mumba and Gujarat Fortune Giants.
Meanwhile, Kohli is scheduled to attend other programmes before flying to Windies for the bilateral series. Under his leadership, India will face the hosts in three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests.
The much-awaited series will begin with the first T20I at Lauderhill in Florida on August 3.

In the recent-held ICC World Cup 2019, Kohli led his side into the semis. But following a batting collapse, India lost to runners-up New Zealand by 18 runs at the Old Trafford.
Besides, talking about Pro Kabaddi league, former U Mumba leader Anup Kumar is serving as Paltan’s coach.
In the 12 team competition, U Mumba had played two matches with one win and one loss. They had bagged five points, whereas, Paltan had lost the first game they have played so far in the season.
On July 22 (Monday), Paltan lost with the scoreline of 34-24 favouring Haryana Steelers at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.
On the same day, Jaipur Pink Pathers had registered a notable 42-23 victory in Hyderabad.
