While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now busy to settle up the IPL 2020 fixture as soon as possible, the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals (RR) is getting ready to release a documentary series about the team’s journey in the IPL 2019.
On Saturday (25th July), the franchise released a statement, where they claimed that they will release a three-part series named “Inside Story” on 1st August 2020. In this series, the fans can see some interviews and “never-before-seen footage” from the Royals camp. The fans can watch this entire series on Jio platforms.

RR COO Jake Lush McCrum said, “We are delighted to launch this documentary to entertain both Royals fans and sports lovers around the world during this challenging time. We hope this will increase the excitement and anticipation of the 800 million IPL fans.”
Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural edition of the IPL tournament in 2008, under Shane Warne’s captaincy. It was their only IPL final appearance till the date. Later, while the franchise was suspended from the IPL tournament for two seasons (2016 and 2017) on the charges of spot-fixing and betting during the IPL 2013, they managed to reach the playoffs for thrice (2013 – 3rd; 2015 – 4th and 2018 – 4th) but never advanced to the final again.
Rajasthan Royals finished in the seventh position in IPL 2019
In the IPL 2019, Rajasthan Royals finished in the seventh position after managing to earn 11 points (five victories, eight defeats and one no result). While Ajinkya Rahane continued the leadership role of the team in the first eight games of that tournament, Steven Smith returned to the captaincy role from the ninth match of that tournament due to the continuous struggling performances under Rahane’s captaincy.

While the Rajasthan franchise managed to win only two matches under Rahane’s captaincy, Smith-led Rajasthan Royals managed to win three matches out of their last five resulted games.

Just before the IPL 2019 season, they changed their jersey colour from blue to pink.
