Ajay Sharma – batting average 80.42

The right-handed batsman Ajay Sharma was one of the famous Indian domestic cricketers, but his career ended in a controversial note as he was banned from the game in 2000 due to his involvement in the match-fixing scandal (life-ban was lifted in late 2014).
In Ranji Trophy career, the right-handed batsman Ajay Sharma scored 7319 runs in 101 innings (85 matches) with the batting average of 80.42. He served for Delhi and Himachal Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy career, where he hit a total of 31 centuries and 20 half-centuries.
Ajay also served for the Indian team from 1988 to 1993 where he played only Test and 31 ODIs. In his international career, Ajay scored 53 Test runs (average 26.50) and 424 ODI runs (average 20.19). Also, the left-arm spinner got 15 ODI wickets.
