The present limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma has already proved himself successful as a limited-overs captain. His leadership has changed Mumbai Indians’ (MI) fate, who is currently the most successful IPL team as they are the first team to win four IPL trophies. The Mumbai franchise has won all their four IPL trophies under Rohit’s leadership.

While Rohit has got limited opportunities to lead the Indian team, the Men in Blue have already won the Nidahas Trophy 2018 and Asia Cup 2018 under his leadership.

From 2017-2020, Rohit has led the Indian team in 29 limited-overs matches, where India have won 23 games and lost only six matches as he has enjoyed the success ratio of 79.31%. So, we can say that India is currently in a position to handle the split captaincy very efficiently.
