The first day of the Test match against South Africa in Visakhapatnam was incredible for Rohit Sharma. He proved himself as a Test opener and silent all the critics with his bat. Rohit hit his first century as a Test opener and in total, scored the fourth century in Test matches.
Though rain interrupted the match on the first day, no bowler was able to interrupt Rohit in striking boundaries. In his century, he hit ten fours and four sixes and entertained everybody in the ground.
KL Rahul, who was given many chances as a Test opener, was not able to justify the position. He was dropped from the squad against South Africa because of his inconsistent performance. Rohit Sharma has grabbed this opportunity with an open hand. He played his natural game and as usual hit boundaries. He became the first Indian opener to score centuries in all the formats.
Shoaib Akhtar advise to Rohit Sharma
Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar shared his opinion about Rohit Sharma in his YouTube Channel. He reveals that when he saw Rohit Sharma’s performance in 2013, he was confident that he will be one of the best batsmen of India. Shoaib Akhtar suggested Rohit Sharma to add a G before his name, G for great. He advised the Indian batsman to remain confident during the longest format of the game and play his natural game.

He is delightful that Rohit is following the advice. The former Pakistan fast bowler is confident that he will score a double or maybe triple century in the Test match according to the way he is playing. Shoaib wants him to play ruthlessly and hit hard to the bowlers. He wishes him all the good luck for the future endeavour.
