In the present lockdown period, while cricket is off, the Indian star cricketer Rohit Sharma and Australian star cricketer David Warner recently had an Instagram live session where they have wished to see the cricket soon. Rohit also revealed that he is excited about the Test series in the upcoming Australia tour.

Coronavirus has forced to postpone the recent cricket matches. It has also opened up the doubtful future of the upcoming cricket matches, including the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020, which Australia will host from 18th October to 15th November 2020.

Meanwhile, in the late of this year, India have the plan to tour in Australia for the full series along with participating in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020. In this tour, they will play the three-match T20I series, three-match ODI series and four-match Test series. While the forthcoming T20 World Cup is still doubtful, both the cricket boards are eyeing for the upcoming Australia-India series.

Whenever there is an opportunity to play against Australia, it’s a different feeling: Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma has revealed his love to play against Australia. He was a member during India’s last tour of Australia in the 2018/19 summer, where India first-ever won the Test and ODI bilateral series in that country. During his recent live chat with David Warner, Rohit recalled that memory. While the Indian cricketer admitted the absence of Warner and Steven Smith during that tour, he also praised his bowlers and batsmen’s effort.

Rohit said, “I personally love playing against Australia. Whenever there is an opportunity to play against Australia, it’s a different feeling. And last year, when we were in Australia, we won the series which has never happened before in the history of Indian cricket. It was a good thing for our team.”

“I know you guys (Warner and Steve Smith) were missing but what our bowlers did there and what our batters did there was a great boost.

“Actually, we were quite looking forward to this year’s tour as well. Somehow, I hope both the boards, India and Australian cricket boards, they somehow try and manage to do something to get this series underway.”

During India tour of Australia 2018/19, while they had the 1-1 scoreline in the three-match T20I series, India won the four-match Test series by 2-1 and three-match ODI series by 2-1.
