Changing the rules of the Super Over tied-game

The final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between England and New Zealand (at Lord’s on 14th July 2019) was thrilling but ended with some huge controversies, including the rules of the Super Over. The main game had the tie result as both teams scored 241 runs in 50 overs (New Zealand 241/8; England 241).
Due to the tie result, the match entered to the Super Over. The thrill remained to continue as both teams scored 15 runs in the Super Over. According to the rules at that time, England finally won that game on the boundary countback rules (26–17). However, the rules were severely criticised.
Later in October 2019, the ICC changed the rules of the Super Over tied-game. In the semi-final and final games, if the match remained tie after the first Super Over, the game will follow another Super Over until getting a result. In other matches, the game will be counted as a tie if the game remained tie after the first Super Over.
