S Sreesanth believed that instead of out of form Dinesh Karthik in form Eoin Morgan should lead KKR in IPL 2020. S Sreesanth, Indian pacer tweeted that wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik should not lead Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020 after he had endured another miserable outing with the bat.

The right-handed batsman failed to perform yet again on Saturday as Kolkata Knight Riders went down fighting against Delhi Capitals while chasing an improbable total of 229. The KKR captain promoted himself at number five ahead of in-form batsman England skipper Eoin Morgan during the huge chase but failed to provide the team with the much-needed impetus.

At a time when the asking run-rate was more than 10, as KKR were struggling somewhat at 94/3 in 10th over needing more than 125 runs in the other 10 overs, Dinesh Karthik managed just six off eight balls.

This was his third straight single-digit score in the ongoing competition, having scored a run and zero in his previous outings against Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively but KKR won. He had scored 30 against Mumbai Indians which KKR lost.

Eoin Morgan had led England to their maiden World Cup victory in 2019 after England beat New Zealand in a thrilling final, which was decided on boundary count after scores were tied in regular 50 overs and Super Over.
