ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020: Sachin Tendulkar Comes Out To Support

While the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 is very near to begin, the men’s cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has come out to support this tournament.
It (2020) is the year of ICC T20 World Cup as both women’s and men’s teams will participate in different times of the year. At first, we will see the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. Australia will host this seventh edition of this tournament from 21st February to 8th March 2020.
A total of 10 teams will participate in this forthcoming tournament, the same number of teams which we saw in the previous three editions (2014, 2016 and 2018). The four-time champions Australia will also play as defending champions in this tournament.
Apart from the hosts, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and Thailand will also feature in this tournament.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is encouraging to everyone for this upcoming global tournament as they are aiming to see the record-breaking attendance at a women’s sporting event during the final of this tournament.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground (Melbourne) will host the final of this tournament on 8th March, and the stadium can hold over 1 lakh spectators. So, there is a great chance to see the record-breaking attendance at a women’s sporting event.

Sachin Tendulkar has also come in front to support this initiative from the ICC.
On his official Twitter account, Tendulkar shared the ICC’s video post and wrote, “Sport is a great equalizer! The Women’s @T20WorldCup is coming up soon and the Finals will be played at the MCG. Let’s #FILLTHEMCG for the #T20WorldCup Final and make it an event to remember.”

On the other hand, Australia will also host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020. However, this seventh edition of the tournament will be organised between 18th October and 15th November 2020.
In this tournament, a total of 16 teams will participate. The Melbourne Cricket Ground (Melbourne) will also host the final of this tournament on 15th November 2020.
